November 2, 20232 yr Popular Post The Dewalt DW735X in box weighs 105 pounds! Ask me how !@#$% I know But I'll be styling, finally. Resawn beams to 6", split to more, and can finally flatten in under a few months. Got the extra blades, plus have an extra spindle w/blades as well. Want a table for it, though. The floor will work for now. Curb weight on that planer = 92 pounds according to literature

Norm Abram: Before we get started I'd like to take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools PROPERLY will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this. There is no other more important safety rule... Except maybe a quick cut, but the window fan is on. Eyes, wear glasses, but UVEX are always within feet of me, and are often on. Not always for sanding, but . . . I've been big on PPE since the early 1990s. Of greater concern currently is getting the electrical right. Want to remove a little of the remaining 14g, and spread out the 12g. Want each power-hungry tool to have its own dedicated 20amp breaker / receptacle.

Although today and last couple days had the door open with the screen. Maybe you just gave us some good luck getting yours installed. Anyways great job on it and nice start on your free library boxes. Edited November 7, 20232 yr by Grandpadave52

How did you attach the screen to it? i routed a groove for a typical screen spline, decided to use a 80% sun screen in stead of normal bug screen, wanted to do copper screen, but decided didn't want to exhaust retirement fund to buy some. so. i'll get a pic of inside, i made a molding similar to screen mold but a tad larger to hide the groove for spline, and add a detail to inside. Well to be honest mostly to hide my horrible job of routing the groove, dang hands arent as strong and accurate as they used to be, router got away from me a time or too a tad. quality of finish could use some love, its never been my strong point, urethane and i struggle with drips, lol happyt uesday, gonna work on the book cabts a bit today, and work on some logistics. Almost like having dark tinted windows; you can see out but unless there's strong lighting behind, you can't be seen standing inside. Still allows a reasonable amount of sunlight through for lighting but cuts glare and heat.
