Interesting miter saw.

For a while this morning...this thing was on the bench..

Gives one's arm(s) a workout ..

This side was a bit dull....I needed to be more "Arnold" in the arms..

But...

This end worked very nicely...turning end like these..

Into something like these...

Block plane to remove any fuzziness left over....same 4 parts, BTW...

These are a bit too wide..

To use the Miter Trimmer on, though....

Aprons are cut to length..

And about half the tenons were milled

Then, the shop started getting a bit too toasty...and leg cramps started up...

Headed to my Work Bench (some day)

2" thick by 8" to 12" wide 7' long Maple.

My neighbor was going to cut this up for firewood. I gave him a load of Bourbon Barrel Staves.

Need to clear away this mess...

but wait, there is more..

Between the 2..might be enough good parts for one good Stanley No. 4c, Type 11 Smooth Plane...rest might either be tossed into the Spares Box, or the Trash can...we'll see...

Gave these a try-out...not impressed...needs to have a cinder block on that shelf..

Had to also clamp the boards to the top of the "Horses"....

Since Menard's does not sell 3/4" x 14-1/2" x 6' planks...that I need to make shelves from....I have to MAKE them that wide...

Just the usual messiness going on..

Finished up a vendor display for Kayla the farm market gal. I'll get an 8 oz jar of honey for my efforts! Fair trade!

Wine crates trimmed on the TS. Crate edges softened with 220 ROS then beveled a bit with the LN 60½.

Legs resawn from c.1930s (oak?) drawer sides, angled @ 10º [like an obelisk], with planed edge bevel.

Glued, clamped, and a screw added in and out to each connection point - two dozen of three types. Time to buy more! 8 x ¾" stainless pan head metal screws would be my #1 choice for their all-around usefulness but they are $$$, and free is better!

I've got three pairs from a '80s and '90s ... wow, they sure have gone up in price for the HD models.

Totaly out of the norm, but whats on my bench right now is a predator 3500 generator that decided to not start after being stored over the summer, i use it to run a couple dancing men at our craft shows, haven't been to one yet this year as ole gal and i have been in colorado for the last month, grandkids and SIL retired from the Army after 30 years, quite a career hes had, 7 combat deployments, retired as a Brigade CSM, sure am proud of him,

any howz, getting old hands inside an area that midget hands fit to work on it, is ugly.

i'm' too cheap to take it somewhere, lol

oh yeah, and i hope to put some pics together to show some of the newbies we made for craft shows.

You have every right to be proud of your SIL RJ, and thanks to him for his service. As for the generator let me odffer some advice. Take it in, the frustration of dealing with it can sometimes be really frustrating.
