Popular Post frenchwwr
Two of my Random Orbital Sanders quit working a while ago. They lost power and jumped around when a load was put on them. Well, yesterday the the backup to the backup ROS started flinging disks around the shop, and as luck would have it the last time that happened and I bought a new pad I was Ss'Mart enough to purchase a spare. I even found it without a lot of searching. So after that repair, I figured I'd push my luck and try fixing the other two. I did a search for "No power, hopping ROS" and read a post from a guy with the same problem who cracked it open, cleaned everything, put it together, and Whal-la it worked. It worked for me too. The second one was even easier, pull the pad and then pull out the bearing, lube, and replace. So I'm back to three fuctionating ROS. Gerald, Grandpadave52, Fred W. As porous as red oak is, is this a good wood for a cutting board? I thought of that, I used about 10 or so coats of Tung oil, the more I used the shinier and more sealed it got. I will check it so see if it is sealed properly and if not, it will make a nice conversation piece. steven newman, Cal, Grandpadave52 and 3 others

Popular Post aaronc
Been working on a little antler repair for a buddy...built the short side a few weeks ago. Got the long side together today. I'll smooth out any seams or add any character needed next session. After that I'll start adding color.
