Q:  Why does a chicken coop only have two doors?   A:  Because if it had four doors, it would be a sedan.

Have five locker which will need shelves when new shop is ready. Decided to use scrapes in shop so will be less to move and clears some stuff off shelves. This particular glue up is dividers from sets of drawers from pharmacy. Doing 16 of these so it is a pile. You can see the drawers in the background.IMG_0609.thumb.jpeg.4da848986fc7d3c3ee2a2a7addcc7791.jpeg

Hey waste not want not. I figure an axe handle ought to get two lifetimes and make me feel like I lost a lifetime along the way.

Been doing work on benches for whats on my bench :D. These vises landed a while ago and was going to mount them up..then found out I was getting the larger heavy butcherblock bench which has been posted already. It's been here for several months now..just got around to getting things tuned. I moved the red sears vise from the heavy duty bench i received to the smaller bench I am working on with my scale sized boat. It'll do nicely there. The big pattern makers vises went to the butcherblock top. Placed the 2nd one a little wider and then that big wing nut which secures it wouldn't turn,..it was hittin the frame. Ace didn't have a nut that would fit it so repositioned and just plugged up the hole :Punched:I'll dress it up better later.

Anyway, all in all I've got some more shop re-org coming when I finally get this drill press lined out but that will be for another day. Maybe next week on that. Time was a little more limited the last few days.

This little table was made for a photo shoot of the little cube ... but it was made too high :WonderScratch:

Maybe I will go to the Dark Side and use a measuring stick on occasion . . .

Finished cleaning, flattening and tuning this Stanley #4 I got a couple of weeks ago. Put a nice Ron Hock iron in it and set it up as a smoother.

It’ll replace the early 30’s Craftsman I’ve had for a while. I’m going to give that one to a friend of mine that could use a good smoothing plane.IMG_7704.thumb.jpeg.6ba1af691ee255ee1a7f3921c321db05.jpegIMG_7703.thumb.jpeg.3b58a64e92629d296d358298aa069bda.jpeg

I've spent the last few days planning Palletwood for future projects.

It's a lot of fun. After I pulled the nails out, I have to use my metal detector to find the little wires that hold the clip of nails together mark them with a lumber crayon, then drill out the marked with a bit slightly bigger then the nail, then recheck the marked holes to see if I got it all.

The planned boards are on the bottom 3 shelves

I didn't bother with the Jointer. I ran the boards through with the cup down, and once the tops were done, I flipped them over.

Here is today's load of shavings. I've already dumped 3 wheelbarrow loads on Eileen's raspberries.

There are about 300 pieces. Now I can sort them by figuring, grain, and color to make boxes

Yesterday I cut up a bunch of slats from wine crates to make a little table top. Adhered to all my usual safe practices.  Respirator, ear protection, safe blade practices, shopvac connected to the TS ... The saw was on and off multiple times, with the vac also turned on and off as the saw was running.  During sweep-up, noticed sawdust all over the washer, dryer, planer, floor . . .

The vac was not connected to the saw :WonderScratch:

But at least I remembered to turn it on and off
