100% agree,..I just tell people I think the rest of the world has that stuff covered, I'm gonna do what I do

I highly appreciate some food 

Not my official workbench(s),but sometimes I have temporary benches outside. Last week I got to try out my new saws,,just doing some small house projects but also trying to get my tool stand lined out for my drill press. It's gonna need some bracing under the tabletop.

Yes Sir, hopefully will easily fit my needs. I've had it for a little while, then got the tool stand from grizzly,,,but you guys know how it is. Still have to get everything set up. That's ok..get to figure things out and use some tools in doing so. 

Bench is looking a wee bit better, now..

Even cleaned out the Tool Well.

These WERE on the bench..

Resawn Ash (Difficult Grain Leftovers) that was stacked up.

.

And stashed over on the tablesaw, for now....will be made into a Spice Cabinet...then 5 planks were parked on the bench..

Brought these down to get used to the shop...and just bought 5 more to glue up into 2 panels...

Had to redo my 3 that were glued together, once glued together I couldn't get them back in place 

 

Anyway,..have 3 more cut and will glue within the framework of the stand. Also have some space from the stand bracing to the 2x4's. It isn't much but when I set that drill press on there it's gonna bow, may eventually crack. I guess I shoulda accounted for that and notched them to fit to start with, but next week I'll add some shims so my tops are evenly supported. 

 

Also setting up a smaller stand for my little bench top band saw.

I actually didn't even get that aggravated,..added a little time to it but it was a nice day out and it was a shop day anyway. What are you gonna do 

Somebody was busy, this morning..

Just a bit...trying to get rid of a few gaps...

Had a few high spots to lower down..so that three 1/2" thick boards can sit...

Without any gaps, glue or clamps .....Needed a caul in the center, though...we have ways..

Vise acting as a 3rd hand..
