February 12, 20233 yr Popular Post I am rehabbing an old 113.22411 Craftsman Table Saw that I found on the side of the road, attaching it to an old Craftsman Tool Stand that I found in the dump.

February 14, 20233 yr Popular Post That was from scratch... Grandson gave me a little ladder that was broken....after I repaired it for him...I used it as a Pattern to build one of my own, out of Ash

Jim, you can follow the build (now complete) from link below. A cool, creative, non-traditional project IMO. 3 minutes ago, steven newman said: That was from scratch... February 14, 20233 yr Popular Post I looked up hardware kits for step ladders. But will now be looking for an old, heavy-duty stepladder, busted up, and maybe salvage the hardware.

February 14, 20233 yr Popular Post BIL, SIL, Phyl and I took a trip 50 miles up the road to the (mostly) mesquite yard. BIL golmmed on to a few root balls, a couple acacia burls and one good sized mulberry crotch. All for turning. Then we took the ladies out to eat at a great old place (established in 1926) called Bedillons. The entrees were fantastic. The deserts were outlandishly delicious. I didn't grab any wood at the mesquite place. On the 28th, a group of winter visiting woodworkers and some of us permanent desert 🏜 rats, will be congregating at that mesquite yard. I'll get some more mesquite rounds and slabs then.

February 15, 20233 yr Popular Post haven't spent much time in wood shop, but have been playing with the laser engravers and the 3 d printers, what fun, amazing technology, some i don't fully understand but working on it, had some pics, but me and new phone are having a war, seems i take pics and for some reason they are there then they are gone, have daughter number 4 gonna stop in and assist the slow ''dad'', ugh i hate those smart phones, make me look dumber than i am so anyways, managed to run into a couple fellas at woodworkers store, and was invited to coffee and their shops, which i of course took pics and yeah you got it, they went somewhere, anyhowz, i was amazed at the organization and cleanliness of their shops, i gulped a few times feeling inadequate for having mine a mess all the time and dusty, ect. lol. how does one keep dust completely off stuff, hehe, i've a decent dust collector and a couple air cleaners, but for some reason dust goes everywhere, lol, oh well, just happy i'm not having to run to electrical panel every cut and reset a breaker, think i'll just settle for my dusty, dirty shop and go on with my long term plan, and that is have ''fun'' , and do my best to keep it dust free, but, big but, for sure, we can only do what we can do. rj in az
February 21, 20233 yr Popular Post Table Saw update: I cleaned the saw, added a new Link Belt, a new Blade, and today a Safety Switch. The blade and fence were both aligned When it warms up I'll haul it out of the basement and give it a paint job to finish the restoration. It cuts like a dream. And I didn't clean the shop Edited February 21, 20233 yr by frenchwwr
