Q:  Why does a chicken coop only have two doors?   A:  Because if it had four doors, it would be a sedan.

Just sawdust on the work bench, presently. Got a couple simple scroll saw patterns ready to cut later. Contemplating a small live edge mesquite side table. After the scrolling.

No go juice this morning. Got an 09:00 appointment at the VA for my normal yearly fasting labs. You can bet a big ole cherry fritter and coffee is on the agenda for afterwards.

The 'Daylight' (white) are nicer than the 'Warm Light' (yellow) in my opinion.

Wow RJ, you must've had that bass really cranked up. Great day at the "Woodstock":P

I have my marching orders! A live edge mesquite and epoxy coffee table. I'd prefer making the table top supports. Simple open boxes made of walnut. However, she wants the sparse look of hairpin legs. She's probably right. Mesquite has some wild grain and, with the colored epoxy filling the inevitable worm holes, uncomplicated hairpin legs would give it a lighter look. Plus, it'll be much easier to move around.

Just a piece of FYI, you might be in a trivia contest one day...

Jimi played to his largest audience at the Atlanta International Pop Festival, July 4, 1970.  The AIPF was actually held in Byron, Ga. at a closed down NASCAR track (which has it's own interesting story).  Sadly I missed it, I got to middle Georgia the following spring.

aspectLED was my first go-to. These two. Great quality. YGWYPF.  HomeDepot has, I've discovered, similar cheap-o lighting at half the cost.  It's all still a learning curve for me, 12v vs 24v, multi-string vs driver per light. The cheapest are the $12 rounds able mentioned.

Interesting and cool story. Jimi was my inspiration (sans the drugs) as far as bass guitar along with Jack Bruce of The Cream during my short lived high school rock band "career." :D We played a mix of pop to hard rock that always included sets from Hendrix, The Cream and The Doors.

Later traded my bass for a set of headers, transmission, and other parts for my 57 Chevy. My brother got my Amp. He found same model amp and bass on ebay a while back. Wowsers, wish I had them back...of course wish I had my '57 Chevy back too.:o

Don't sh know "you can't ever have too many clamps"?

  • Popular Post

yeah, we need '',mo clamps''

will say i sure like the red clamps for doing boards and lotsa flat work, the fstyle do okay just a tad more work, and have large, or long pipe clamps a dozen of quite large, from cabt days, we used to do about 6ft face frames so clamping was easier, always wanted a face frame clamp rack, but alas, time didnt allow it, slowly moving to the besey red boys, love'm to death

The clamps I have will be what costs the most to move to my next house.  Lots of iron there.   Love the parallel clamps.  That they can stand on end is one killer feature IMO!

Friction fit, just to keep the sides from bowing in....

Only needed 8 clamps.   All four corners are Finger Jointed...

Letting this sit a day...then glue on a bottom and then see about a lid?

festool 5'' OBS

The F. ads pop up; I've been looking. I'm either out $60 for something cheap or $1,000+ for the F. with vac set-up

I'm guessing it is worth it, though. If anyone can steer me into a specific set-up, for me to consider in the coming 18 months through my buying decision (DW735x comes first, methinks).
