Shelving with hanging rods under them and wire baskets for socks and undies system bought from the local Home Depot. So far it outlasted everything she threw at it and is still in good shape. Eventually I did the same with the closet I used to double the capacity of hanging clothes it held. High and low metal shelves with rods for shirts, a section for the few suits I own to hang, and a little desk space I used as a place to pay bills from.

Not doubting your set up whatsoever,,....but, If I get into a lot of reorganizing I'm gonna have to do a lot of communicating.......and that's my very least favorite part of doing anything around the house

April 12, 20242 yr Popular Post Looks like the ones they had at Lost Art Press.. While I was at their Open House Event last Fall... Looked like they had a few to spare... Ok, What is on MY bench? Besides a mess? Gluing up a case to put them chisels away in..

Looked like they had a few to spare... Ok, What is on MY bench? Besides a mess? Gluing up a case to put them chisels away in.. That lost art looks like fun and yep that looks like it to me. Mine landed a few days ago. I just now got a chance to open them up. I've got a busy 4 or 5 days but hopefully in the next week or so I'll get them fixed on my bench. Initial impression is they were well packaged...I like the weight of them...quality seems to be "plenty good enough"...I'll know more with a little time. They have a pretty strong following over on the longrifle forum. There are a few who don't care for them for whatever reason but by and large a lot of guys use them. I picked up 2 for plans of doing a longrifle kit someday or whatever other elongated work I may be piddling with. Finishing out my axe handle will be much easier than having if just sitting between 2 support points and holding with my off hand. I did a quick mock up while ago...
April 13, 20242 yr Popular Post That's a nice chair you have there Aaron. Especially for a workshop chair. It wouldn't work though in my shop. I would be constantly falling asleep and probably sliding right out of it.
April 13, 20242 yr Have this thing residing in my bench vise.. Used the vise as a 3rd hand.. Letting this sit a day...kind of sore and crampy, right now..

Back when I had big desktop computers it was my "office" chair sort of speak. I went to laptop only years ago and got rid of that desk...so I was able to upgrade my main chair in my workshop I say go for it man...I love that thing down there, naps and all. Every feller needs a good captain's chair in their favorite spot I'm not real techy/into electronics but incidentally I am considering adding and old style desktop computer down there or at least a big nice screen on a swing arm attached to the wall. I think it would be great to have down there for youtube vids mainly...but with some music and patriot woodworker mixed in as well.
