June 5, 20242 yr Popular Post well not on bench, but did score a delta uni saw for super cheap, and a left tilt to boot, whilst i still have one in shop that isnt quite set up (found one a few months back adn rebuilt it) this one was a steal, and works as intended, so gonna check motor pull and set up and decide which one finds a ride out of shop. needs table top cleaned up and some misc. but otherwise if functional with older bismeyer fence on it, looks to be the 3ft fence set up as if i didnt have enough projects to deal with.

SWEET SCORE! Two things Rick: (1) you should have made the shop bigger (2) never pass up a good deal no matter how many clamps or tablesaws you have Oh, one more thing...GOOD deals can be dangerously addictive...no cure either.
June 5, 20242 yr Popular Post Rick, I'm not sure that's a Unisaw. Delta made a Hybrid for a while that looked a lot like a Unisaw and I'm pretty sure that's one of them. It's still a very good saw, but a little lighter in construction than the Uni. Looking at that slot in the front it looks more like a RT model as well. I prefer RT personally, but most folks don't. Regardless it should make a nice addition to the shop.
June 5, 20242 yr Popular Post I;ll get into it later today, it was a last minute pick up last nite, either way its gonna stay or find a new home, still struggling with final set up by matching saws back to back, lately have found i really need and want to use the left tilt more than the usual right saw. will confirm all once i get it squared away, since its so warm, hiding out in the shop on the hot afternoon has been a boon. yesterday also got all three laser engravers up and running after some repairs and fix its, also got my grandsons 3d printer cleaned up and running, i have a pal who is the IT guru, i'm the mechanical size and misc. lol happy hump day to those that subscribe, gonna be a barn burner out here in the dry heat. Rj in az

July 6, 20241 yr Popular Post Shop stool was too tall..so...this showed up...wasn't enough room on the bench.. Bought this thing years ago..at a Garage Sale, for $10....and spent about that to repair the blade clamp...it is down in the shop today.. To lower the stool a bit... That's better....down in the Cheap seats? While putting the Makita away.. I noticed a saw sitting right under the case...pulled it out.. So..now I do have a saw on my bench...but, which saw? Disston & Sons No. 7....6ppi RIP saw..and quite sharp at that....
