Gene, here is a little how to from a few years ago, when I had a stationary table saw, but now I have my Shopsmith, and I am going to create a little tutorial on how to do them on a Shopsmith, it's quite different. I'll also add more pics to the cabinet topic later this week to catch up on that. For now, here is the old tutorial.
January 18, 20224 yr Popular Post Pantry looks good! Seems there is a problem with the latest handplane.. Instead of the normal shavings...that is a ball of stringy things....seems the first 1/8" is a land of pits..will have to grind the edge back to remove the pits, and reshape an edge...and then resharpen.... Might take a day..

January 28, 20224 yr Popular Post I can't find where I started posting pics of my Stanley #10 rebuild so here's a quick review. Bought this plane about a year ago wo/a chipbreaker, found one on eBay back in Dec. It's never going to be any more than a 'user' with this chip in the bed. During the calm before the alleged storm I spent today finishing the plane. Now it can take its place with my other dust collectors.
January 28, 20224 yr Author Popular Post @frenchwwr, beautiful job on that restoration, and what a nice collection of planes!
