I will allow a little arguing about price and do this as well. But at some point just say no and walk. Once I walk I don't come back. No amount of money will convince me to work with such people.
April 17, 20206 yr Popular Post At this point it's all the money up front and done when it gets done. My new term for a stress free work area...

May 9, 20206 yr What is on my bench, right now.....you have been warned.... Instead of a Chaos Zone on the Moon Europa......have the same zone in the Dungeon Not just the bench, either....as seen from the bottom step ... Of the entry hall.... Looking up a bit.... Then down, so I don't trip on anything.... That LONG backsaw? Is the Goodell Pratt version of the Millers Falls saw in that Langdon 75....both are 30" long, 5" under the spine. Other mitre box is a Stanley 346... Need to clean off, and put away that tablesaw....somewhere. May have a job for it later, though. First off.... Need to haul that old, empty tool chest out of the shop....has become nothing more that a retirement home for wayward spiders...and a catch-all for the lid.....I need the real estate it is taking up....will try to haul it out to the curb...soon. Maybe after I heal up a bit..

May 18, 20206 yr Popular Post This is what is currently on my bench and has been for a couple of months. It's a quilt rack for my wife. I have had a horrendous time trying to get dowel holes lined up. I think I finally got it close. Still a ton of sanding to do.
May 18, 20206 yr Popular Post Looking good...I can dowel all day. It just takes practice.... Dont worry .... there are those with the that $1000 domino that get pretty pretty frustrated as well.... Edited May 18, 20206 yr by BillyJack

Even with an expensive jig and/or dowel centers, mine are still off! I'm really tempted to look into one of those loose tenon machines (or build a router jig) but not sure I could accurately use one of those.
