December 2, 20241 yr Popular Post Making a handle for this old military bayonet that has been in my dad's tool box as far back as I can remember.
December 3, 20241 yr Popular Post Update on the bayonet. I finished the handle last night. I think the walnut looks good. For as long as I could remember my dad kept saying he was going to put a handle on it one day. If he was here I think he'd be proud of it.

It helps with dust and keeping cool in the summer. I have a dust collection system that I haven't had time to install yet. It's on "The List". Lol

December 5, 20241 yr Popular Post My next rehab is a 1950 Walker Turner 10"Table Saw. I got most of the sticky stuff off the top today but it will set for awhile as I don't have 220 in the barn yet. The 16-548 is my saw

December 5, 20241 yr Popular Post Which makes you 2 years older than me. Let me know how the 220 thingy works out.

A few years back now I told my wife when she turned 40 I just might trade her in for two twenty year olds. She said "you just as well forget it because you're not wired for 220." One of these days I'll get those teeth fixed. Edited December 6, 20241 yr by Grandpadave52

December 8, 20241 yr Popular Post I just finished my second knife handle and added a sheath. The knife is about 13 inches for reference. It worked out really well. I hand carved it with a rasp and sandpaper. I was proud of this one. I almost don't want to give it back to the owner. Lol.
