It is really nice, Lew...well done. It's often said (and very true) we are our own worst critics.

I think the wave is just thick enough to add the classy look to the bowl. Well done.

Most excellent Mike. Mrs. & I just watched on older PBS cooking show where they showed and talked about various rolling pins. Yours by design and wood type would have fit in their preferred type perfectly.

Very nice Mike.  Thanks for giving your dimensions too.

Thanks Dave & Dan All you guys are going to swell my head.  I can't bring this to the gallery as the commission they collect would leave me a little profit but not much. I have this on line but I will be ecstatic if it sells. Most of the similar and even fancier pins on line are listed at about twice the cost of the material:BangingHead:.  If it doesn't sell I will take a chance and give it to my wife. She doesn't bake too much and most likely will use it just because the cast iron fry pan is getting too hard for her to swing. :BitingNails:

I made this pipe out of a piece of hickory. I rough cut the shape with a band saw and 12 inch sanding disc. Finished up the bowl by hand with my pocket knife. Hand carved the tube and mouthpiece as well.

Some really nice looking grain in the bowl piece Donald. Planning it to be a user?

The pictures really don't do it justice. The bowl ended up being amazing. I don't smoke but I have a friend that does. I saw a guy on YouTube make one and I thought to myself that I could do it so I did. It is fully functional and he is enjoying it. I made the bowl a bit bigger so it wouldn't burn through as fast. Eventually they all burn a hole in them unless they have metal inserts.
