Here are two 2023 Christmas gifts for my Domestic Goddess. The walnut platter and candle holder were my first attempts at both types of items. Fun day in Ye Olde Wood Shoppe!

Mulberry HF from a dead standing tree. 4" x 3" high. Myland's finish. The walls are 1" thick, which is unusual for a hollow form. With the pith gone and the wood dry, there isn't any chance of cracking.

Amazing! I love the way the grain encircles the "defects". Really like the lip on the top, too!

Two live edge walnut bowls from a section of walnut I processed last week. Each is 12" x 10" x 4". The first (the better one) is finished with T&T Danish oil. The second is finished with T&T Original. I opted not to fill the worm holes. Really odd grain and color on these.

Nice Rusty.  I am a fan of mixed media so I like the Corian lid too.

Well, finished- except for the laser date and signature. Approximately 6" x 6" cherry and walnut. Next one will be better. Poly finish.

That is very nice Lew.  Is there a lot of time involved in doing that?

Thank you for the too kind comments. Truly appreciated!

@HandyDan there are a lot of steps but the longest time was in waiting for glue to dry completely. There’s also a special jig used to make the cut for the “wave”.
