Progress report for today Finally got the nerve to go ahead and cut the dovetails and wouldn't you know it ìt worked, amazing what you can accomplish with scrap lumber and a few ideas from people that have done it before. Anyway this was the stopping point for today More in a couple days🤞

Dave I don't even need to click on that video to recognize Hannibal from the A team and that has to be one of my favorite quotes thanks for the memories, Steve I'll have you know that i cleaned the spot on my bench just to have a place to work, it usually looks a lot more like yours. But the lathe is cleaned and ready to go most of the time

Not quite on my bench, but....

Stopped and had this loaded up in my Chevy on the way home..bought this when they first can out. Has 2 sets of new in box blades. needs cleaned up, test run a couple times...

I'm currently working on making a Japanese Kanna plane. Working out all the details.

Nice looking saw. They're well made IMO. I have a Crown "Gentleman's" saw I purchased on a great sale deal some time ago. I planned to try it on dovetails. Unfortunately, it didn't come with any round2its.

I always thought it would like to have a saw like tha but then I would have to learn to use it . Still trying to get this lathe thing figured out. 🤣

I noticed he hadn't been posting much and hope he is doing well, if down hope he is on the mend.

I had another item come in today. More of a want than a need, but have looked at these for years and Grizzly has them on clearance. It's the mandarin version of the old versa vice. I'll say this, it's lubed up well.

Sweet score. A little mineral spirits and it'll be good to go.

He's recovering from a mishap with a table saw then a couple surgeries. Both thumbs are on the mend but thankful he has them to mend.

I wasn't aware of that, if posted I missed it. Certainly glad he still has his digits.

Planer can be run with just me left hand....so

Drawer Front, and a stile for a door

Makes a bit of a mess, though...

have done all the "fat" board twice...

Goal is to get to 3/4" thickness...

Right now, just a blond hair over 7/8" thick..stay tuned..
