Thanks guys. Showed the wife a couple days ago and she said "not as good as the last batch" so I had to make a few modifications. Will of coarse look better with lacquer on.

Roughed out pecan bowls and put them in the kiln to dry.

Got around to first turn on some some spaulted swamp maple and a little more work on the friendship bowls

Had to look that up, too. Apparently it's another name for Red Maple.

That's gonna be a nice bowl, @Gerald!  How do you attach the collars to those bowls?

Glued on with TBiii. Had to do a bit of shaping to fit the out of round and curvature of each bowl.

Picked up 4 large chunks of sycamore yesterday. Haven't decided how to cut these up into blanks yet. Will get them moved to the shop and anchorseal'd at a minimum today.

Awesome!

Been laying around for awhile.  I see some nice spalting in them.

Just noticed I took this of my screwdrivers and forgot to post. I either forget to take a pic or forget to post. I cut the plastic handle off the 1.99 HF screwdrivers and turn a wooden one. 

 

 

this is a wig stand I am making for a neighbor with breast cancer. 
 

 

@Gerald how do you make the "cross hatch" on the handles?
