I have a lathe that does that but I redid the drive and the spindle to correct a factory flaw and didn't attach the drive to the swivel like I should have and can't swivel without losing the belt. April 7, 20233 yr comment_312076 I forgot to mention the rabbits are easy to make. The body and head are egg shaped. I turned the tail as part of the body instead of turning it and gluing it on. Report

April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post comment_312081 Finish dried on the mystery wood bowl. I believe @Gerald's comment on it being ash is correct. The second little piece of elm came out of the soak today and went into the drying box The previous blank did have a small split that opened on the second day of drying. Put some CA on it and it hasn't gotten any worse- The original big piece of elm had end cracked badly and I tried to cut the blanks around the worst of the flaws. Apparently this one wasn't removed. I didn't notice it before it went into the soak. Some of it may turn away as the bowl is finished. Notice how the color has lightened as it slowly dried. It has been in the dryer for about 3 days and there's still a little way to go to reach equilibrium. Report
