July 12, 20232 yr Popular Post This is spalted Peach with an English Walnut finial. A huge old Peach tree came down after a storm and this was a chunk given to me. The form is about 10" without the finial. It is 1/8"-3/16" thick. My first finial. Not sure I like it......but I think it goes with the style/shape of the form.

July 14, 20232 yr Popular Post I was notified that this piece was selected as the cover photo for WOW ( World of Woodturners) - which some you may be familiar with. I am humbled and appreciative of this honor.

July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post Picked up a load of pecan earlier today. This wood was taken from the Hays County courthouse, a historic location in Texas. Hays county was named after Captain John Coffee Hays, a Texas Ranger who fought engagements in both Texas-Comanche and Mexican-American wars in the 1800's. Hays County courthouse. .40
