Cool! Did you make your own texturing/chatter tool?

Thanks. No I tried that and did not work like the Sorby mini and Wagner I use. I have a full size Sorby for larger work also. It is amazing what these tools will do.

I have one too, but I have yet to fully master it. I need to attend a Jeff Hornung workshop!

Not that difficult to use. Just remember the bevel edge goes up. The hardest part is repeating a angle even with the saddle. Use even pressure and straight in or downward angle will affect the pattern. Speed for the large one from 600 to 750. the small one max is 500. Put a little oil on the bushing on the small one as it is brass. The large has a bdearing but also may need lube. Note speed does affect the pattern they do. Watch the Sorby videos , There ia a bunch.

Popcorn Bowl

This is a design that I derived from others - by combining a calabash design with a wide rim. It it thin and light, made from spalted Sycamore.

It is easy for kids and us "mature folks" with arthritic hands to pick up and carry as well as it sits in our lap comfortably. I have a very short video clip of me trying to tip it over - that shows it is Relf = righting. I will try to post it - but not sure it will "stick".
