Thanks Dave for looking in. I really should save this for her . She puts up with soooooooooo many of my  idiosyncrasies that she should have this and everything else that falls off my tools forever more.

Re-purposed olive wood pen blanks I am no longer interested in turning into pens fell off my lathe looking loke a ring box. Plan to put it in a gallery for sale but I have to first convince my wife she has enough of my junk in the house :ArguingSmileys:. Never show your wife what you lathe can do

Hi Forty

Thanks for the kind word. I have one of those too . I have so few talents mine tries to capitalize when ever she can.

On the list at the moment is an red oak bench for the dining room, a mantle for the living room and an new roof for the dog house. Actually that last one is more for me just a little personal  insurance :BitingNails:

Thanks again for looking in.

This is a 19.25” Box Elder Burl platter. I do not know why I felt it also needed to be a space ship/flying saucer- complete with flashing color changing lights…. But I did🤪

Thanks .40! It is on display in the Instant Gallery @ the Tenn. Association of Woodturners this weekend.
This regional symposium is always fantastic for anyone that can attend. My third year on a row year. Not as big as SWAT- but a great bunch of folks volunteer to put on a great one every year. Pat Carroll, Sammy Long , Nick Agar, eric Lofstrom and Ashely Harwood are all demonstrators this year.

Just a shameless plug for an awesome  event🙂

Still needs the bottom finished out and some wipe on poly. Part of a walnut log. Odd shape but I think it'll be OK. It will be another "friendship bowl" like @Gerald makes.
