March 25, 20242 yr Popular Post I picked up some hard maple and cherry from a guy about an hour away. The maple is 3.5” thick and the cherry 4” thick. Both are kiln dried. Man this maple was some hard stuff. Here is a box from the maple.

Of course I'm not a dendrologist and don't even play one on TV

There were a few spots that chipped out and a view voids but luckily not many. I believe this sheet was made on a Wednesday. Lol After it was finished it actually had that big French word for shine and shimmer that starts with a C.

This was discussed quite a bit over on the AAW forums. The box Rusty made is indeed maple. It's likely that the photo make it look darker than it actually is. Carry on, Rusty!
