Nice mellow day but got the rails and stile blanks milled. Static_LV came over for coffee this morning. It’s always nice to have fellow woodworkers in the shop.

Managed to get the drawers installed yesterday. Now I can focus on the ceiling and get the blanks out of the shop.  Paul

I’m continuing on with the ceiling. It’s slow going but I’m getting there. I’m a little over half done at this point. This is about as boring as it gets.  Paul

We are continuing with the ceiling tiles as much as we can. The black walnut that we bought locally is turning out to be very nice stuff. I bought this all in the rough so I no idea what it would look

Busy day in the shop. Got all the rails and stiles cut and one door glued up completely. The panels are coming out fine. The boss likes them and now that I see them assembled I can see the Art Deco rectilinear aspect better. Tomorrow is just keep going and try to get as many assembled as I can.

I managed to get the rest of the panels routered and one sanded and finished. The sanding is taking a little longer than I expected but the results are good.

Over the top Paul. That is one gorgeous panel with the bookmatch. Literally a piece of wood art.

The last two days have been spent gluing up the frames and then sanding and finishing. Two doors are complete and I will finish the other six tomorrow. The panels turned out pretty heavy and I wasn’t comfortable leaving the mitered and glued joints unsupported so I decided to do a dogbone style inlay on the back.

Those finished doors are gorgeous Paul. Great idea on the dog bone reinforcement plus they just add that much more character when the doors are open. Top quality work. I can't wait to see the doors in place.

Thanks for all the wonderful comment ! Finished off the rest of the doors today so as soon as all the hardware arrives I will get them mounted. Now I have to make all the internal shelving and eight drawers to hold the DVD’s.

You'll have to charge admission into your media room just to have the privilege to view these doors Paul especially seeing how awesome they look in pictures.

Today was spent gluing up all the blanks for the drawer sides and partitions. Managed to get some of them surfaced.

I just keep plodding along. I estimated it would take me about a year to complete this room. Keeps me off the streets.
