November 16, 20214 yr Author Popular Post Today was finish some of the interior shelving, complete the prep on the drawer fronts/sides and get the router table set up for dove tails. I also got the wood pendants done for the sconces. Those sconces are nerve racking because they are irreplaceable and a mistake would probably relegate me to the guest house for life. They are cast pewter and frosted glass from the 1920’s. They came out of an Art Deco theater in Sydney. Paul
November 16, 20214 yr Popular Post I see some very fine craftsmanship in the wood prep. Those are going to be beautiful.
November 16, 20214 yr Popular Post Those are gorgeous sconces Paul, and your pendants for them are superb!
November 16, 20214 yr Popular Post Just beautiful! Those gorgeous sconces couldn't be in better hands.

November 17, 20214 yr Author Popular Post The sconces went up today without a hitch. I’m just glad to get them up on the wall and out of harms way. Paul
November 18, 20214 yr Popular Post Spectacular Paul! Any openings for an usher? I'll bring my own flashlight but you'll have to furnish the hat. Edited November 18, 20214 yr by Grandpadave52 Usher not user...stupid autocorrect tablet
November 18, 20214 yr Author Popular Post Short day in the shop today but did manage to get four out of the eight doors mounted. Paul
November 23, 20214 yr Author Popular Post Finished mounting the last four doors and completed the dovetailing on the drawers for the DVD’s. Paul
November 23, 20214 yr Popular Post STUNNING Paul. The mitered frames really do add extra character to the doors. Great choice to go with that look. What's the special detail work in each piece in the row of ceiling panels?
November 23, 20214 yr Author Popular Post The ceiling was a design we have had in the works for quite a while. The first part was building the LED light source above each tile. Each tile has a thin layer of black walnut laminated to a a base of white maple which allowed us to router a design through just the walnut showing the maple underneath and then also have components that are router all the way through the tile to allow light from the led panel to shine through. The idea is that it has detail that shows through in daylight as well as at night with the led lights on. Paul
November 23, 20214 yr Popular Post Your design skills and execution are truly an inspiration! Keep 'em coming.
November 23, 20214 yr Popular Post I've a feeling that once completed this room will rival any movie house I've ever been in! Both for design and sound. I love to tour the old theaters of the 1930's when art deco ruled
