We are continuing with the ceiling tiles as much as we can. The black walnut that we bought locally is turning out to be very nice stuff. I bought this all in the rough so I no idea what it would look like.

Well the boat tasks are winding down and the ceiling LED panels are in and wired so now it’s finally back to woodworking in the media room. Wiring the light panels had to be the most boring and tedious job I’ve done in a while. Today it’s clear out all the electrical stuff and get ready to spend a few days finishing the trim on the TV cabinet. Then it’s sanding and get a coat of finish on what is there before continuing on.

It was a long weekend of sanding and prep but the first coat of finish is on. Tomorrow I will start installing all the electronic equipment and get everything in place.

Yesterday and today was installing the electronic gear so I can get an idea of the trim. We got everything installed but the rear speakers. We are going to have to make two custom brackets out of walnut for them.

Sweet!

I started back on the media room today. After a five week break it’s good to be back in the shop. While I was working on the boat the art work arrived for the one wall so getting it mounted and off the floor will need to be the focus for a few days. Both panels will be framed on each side by vertical walnut pieces and I started gluing them up today.

Painted. 

Can't wait to see those finished and installed. You do such amazing and artful work! 

Glued up the last vertical piece today. Two are completely done and tomorrow finish the other two. The plan is to run all the electrical that goes on the wall Sat and then hopefully Sun and Mon get the artwork up off the floor and installed.
