Its quite impressive how many folks use i, and the supply of books is great, i hit garage sales occassionaly mostly for kids books, as they seem to be the big mover, lol, and many don't bring back, which is okay i guess.

I'm an avid reader and was tired of carting books to the second hand store, so. saw one of these in an old part of phoenix, and gave it a go. And have met a few neighbors, lol, at least none have asked to borrow any tools.

thanks for kind words, i have not had a chance to get in shop at all this week, other than drop off some items i plan on reworking or building.

daughter #4 who lives close and is a new mother called, early am, her water heater leaked all over, so. ole dad picked up a new 50 gal monster and put it in, like to passed out in her hot garage installing it, ugly warm and muggy here today, how i managed to get WH up on the pedestal (here in az they require them to be on a pedestal above grade, usualy 18 to 24'') it was a struggle, but wrested that dang thing up on it, whew, and of course had to soldier the tp line (thats the pop off line) thought for a minute i'd forgotten how to soldier, but managed to get'r done, others were just pipe threaded connections,

ole gal was along, but she only had eyes for the new grandson, forgot ole guy was sweating away in the garage, oh well.

so, i have managed to get  a free weekend this weekend, got some dust collection hose delivered, had the 5'' to hook up system, but was waiting on some other connections want to put some on the band saws you can see in one picture and a movable one for the rolling rigid sanders, finding as i get older i'm a little more sensitive to really fine dust, even though i wear a nice respirator, along with dust collection, be glad when it cools down and i can open overhead door and turn fans on, another few weeks to a month before that, but its coming

happy hump day

well this is what i did this am, have about half the drops done, found a way to seal the pvc and still be able to renovate, relocate without saw cutting it, found a youtube video from a fella who came up with this, being in the industry i had no idea this stuff existed, but boy howdy does it do it. reminds me of the old cast iron jointing we used to do, lead an oakum, pack the union or joint and pour lead in it.

ugh, ugly i was the lead heater upper when a kid, hehe, pretty sure my name was ''dammit ric, hurrry up''

here is some pics, easy peasy with exception of moving crap to get to drops and standing on ladder for a bit.

and the dust collection saga continues, hehe, opened the mech room door with air compressor and dust collector and what a surprise, gonna have to get a real 5'' fitting instead of a tapered one previous owner had on it, could put a screw in it, i guess to hold it till i do.

ugh what a clean up, put on a bunny suite and dove in, ole gal said i looked like one of them guys on a zombie show checking for bugs

uh oh 1.jpg

Sorry Rj...luck of the Dave. At least it's all contained in a small area:P

yeah, took all of half an hour to clean up, quite the surprise when i went in to check the blue bin to see if full, even then it was half full, so, oh well, fortunes of having a shop, that green demon is a monster,

well today was a slow day for getting anything dusty in shop, did however re vise whole patio layout and large storage shelving unit for wood pcs. managed to find a lot of shorts the boys stashed from the move from other shop, and well did throw a gaggle of stuff away, i hate throwing out wood scraps  soon as i do, i need it, but alas, well it happened.

used shop crane and got the 8 inch jointer up on its new wheels, gonna be easier now to move things a bit,

one more half day of organizing and i'll get serious on the door parts, and finalize plan for about 14 ft of base and almost same in upper cabts, base will hold chop saw, in some of the pictures you can see its on a mobile deal, takes up way too much room and capturing dust is horrible, so............have a plan, excecuting is something else.

happy thursday

well spent most of am till about 2 today picking up and loading a few trailers, i managed to pull off a deal, and still have to go back for some really nice hardwood on a couple pallets. what am i gonna do with this, oh my

couple trailer loads of staves, one trailer has 3 pallets the other had 3 plus shorts from very large wine vats that are 3x3 and about 30 inch long, all white oak, oh my. the thought of hand unloading and stacking is somewhat daunting, but what the heck else do i have to do. oh yeah, the plastic pallets were for this, and now to hit the chinese store for some tarps. oh, or may just find the local guy who has the billboard vinyl pcs when they put up new signs, they make great tarps.

happy hump day
