I don't recall. Is the back of your saw enclosed? My saw has the hanging motor out the back so the back is all open. I was thinking about rigging up something to enclose it.

On my previous Craftsman TS with motor out the back I made a sliding panel that slide on some wood runners screwed to the back of the saw.It had slots in it to slide closed thru the motor mount and the belt. it wasn't 100% tight but did a good job of sealing off the big hole. I had a DC on the saw too,I don't know how effective that would be on your system.

I have one like that and I used masonite with stick on magnets to hold it onto the saw.  Later I added dust collection by mounting in a table with a v shaped trough in the bottom and the DC pipe comes out of the center of that.

@RustyFN...nice set-up Rusty and well organized and utilized...12'x16'? 16'x16' or 20'?

Edit: Never mind, just now saw a previous post.:blush: somehow I missed that I guess:wub:..12x24...sweet

What's on my workbench? Whatever doesn't fit on the wall or the floor, apparently! I'm more of a handyman than a straight woodworker. BTW, the bench was built 44 years ago, out of re-purposed packing crates for car windshields. Drawers were added later, when I found a discarded cabinet of some sort. The blue vise is fairly recent, the red one has been there a looooong time. Just never had the heart to throw the old thing out. I DO have an assembly table, an old folding picnic table with aluminum legs. Not pretty, but it can be stored out of the way when not needed.

I do a lot of Handyman type stuff as well....nice bench area!

Probably right where you left it!

SInce my workbench seems to be in a similar condition to many, I guess I can give up on feeling self conscious about its ongoing state of disarray...   I enjoy seeing other folk's playspaces when they are not sanitized for a photo op

no saw dust...

Oh, there's plenty of sawdust, just not alot of big stuff by the bench. I run a 1300 cfm dust collection system that is plumbed to my stationary tools to my left and behind where I took the pic. (note the hose above the cnc).
