September 24, 20187 yr Popular Post comment_160737 Good morning, this tall cafe chair is my prototype. I plan on adding a stretcher between the legs at the bottom just ran out of time. It will be painted so I used all reclaimed material. Do you see any improvements or suggestions? It sits very comfortably and is just the right height for the table. Report

September 24, 20187 yr comment_160765 I agree with John. Looks good as is and painting between all those slats will be a nightmare. Report

September 24, 20187 yr comment_160818 I Really like that design, and the foot rest is a neat idea. You did an excellent job too. I agree with painting it now, a lot of slots to paint, maybe you can sub it out to the wifey to paint. Herb Report

After pondering on it and looking again, I agree with those that suggest leaving the random colored re-purposed wood look. Makes it very unique and eye catching. FWIW, the only change I'd suggest is modifying the arms (at least one) to incorporate a beverage holder. Report
September 25, 20187 yr comment_160882 Design consideration: Perhaps titling the arm rest down 3 degrees in the back. Danl Report

Danl They do tilt toward the rear already, my wife who is 5' 10" said it was just right for her. I think a chair like this will have many considerations depending on who sits in it.
