I've been making a Den Coffee Table for my sweetie and here's my progress so far. I'm currently making front panels for the little drawers. It's all done with hand tools. No metal, screw or nails. All joinery. It has breadboard ends as well on top and shelf below.

Looks good Rick. I love breadboard end table tops. They say their time has passed but I still think it’s classy looking.

Thanks Zack. IMO breadboard ends are elegant. There's been a resurgence in their popularity as of late. They keep the top from warping and hide end grain of the laminated boards. It's the way to go!

I'm working on some new coat holders for our laundry/entry area. Will be simple walnut boards with 3D printed black hooks. Had two boards already to go from a prior project that went a different direction. Laughed that the prep for the last board used about all tools I own - mitersaw to cut to length, tablesaw to cut to width, bandsaw to get to desired thickness, drum sander to cleanup saw marks, router table to edge, and hand sander with vacuum before adding finish. And in the end I have a smaller board. 🤷‍♀️ Isn't woodworking great!?! Saved so much money from buying a hanger system by "building my own" 🤣🤣🤣

I'm curious about what 3D printed black hooks look like. In my experience nothing made from plastic supports a load. The very name "plastic" implies they will sag under load.

I'm using the same hooks I printed for in my shop. I hang my heavy shop apron on it and haven't had any issues so far (in place since late February).

Close to the wood backing you aren't putting much or any bending force on the hooks. Hang a heavy winter coat over on one check for bending that will increase over time. The one in the back with a bag on the lower hook may be creeping down if there is much weight in the bag.

I once bought some shelves for my garage in a previous house I lived in. They looked structural. Paint cans didn't seem to budge them. A year later the shelves were smiling at me. A big droop in the middle of all of them.

I see what you are saying. If so, I'll just unscrew these and find a different design. Hid the mounting screws under hangers. Have to print two more hooks and then this part of the laundry room update will be done.

May switch out a couple of the hangers for a different style.

If you are changing the design, I suggest rounding over the top edge of any coat hook so it won't snag/tear the coat liner.

Need a Bench to sit my Drill Press and other tailed tools on....so..

Should be enough in this pile? 2x6 x 6' (3), 2x 8 x 6' (3), 2 x 12 x 6' (1) 1 x 4 x 24" (6) and a box of deck screws to assemble them with..

Water hose (50') was from the Factory in Bellefontaine, OH that I worked in for 22 years....used to be at the old N. Elm Street place...
