Dang Steven, very sorry to hear about this. Please call the Doctor as early as possible tomorrow.

Until then, stay out of the shop and just rest...There's a big event coming @Fred W. Hargis Jr this summer. You're on the agenda...We want you there!

Take care and keep us posted as you're up to it.

Hope they didn't have to "paddle" you.   I can tell you that's no fun at all.  :(

Hey my friend, don't hesitate to go back to the hospital! You've been experiencing these/similar symptoms for a couple weeks now and obviously they're not going away.

Forget the hutch, finished or not...it'll be there...taking care of yourself is far more important right now...

Don't make me come over there and a put a lock on the Dungeon door.;)  One to keep you out, not in.

Well, I am not one to just sit around on my.....rearend,   Figured I could at least handle a 2" wide brush...and apply a coat of shellac to the project....not enough left for a second coat ( unless I cut it in half with DNA..)  so..next coat will be a poly gloss,  whenever I get saddle-sore from sitting around.

Not do any wood working stuff....just swiping a brush around.   I did measure that thing's height....from the floor to the top of the Bookcase...77-1/4"  tall.

Have a few young fellas with strong backs, so THEY can bring it up the steps....in two units.   Set it up in the Dinning Room until Daughter can pick it up.

The one I made out of Ash?   Stands just over 73" tall......need to go back to making little boxes, for a while...

May get a couple pictures, IF anyone wants to see it...

Just a few shots...

Door is light enough, that the case doesn't tip over when you open the door

A look at the side...close up of a drawer?

Someday, I might get good at doing these things....

I tried to show off the grain, a bit...

The "Main Drawer" will get a pair of wire baskets inside.

Just have to figure out how long to let this sit, before the Poly goes on.

Outstanding!!

Well, got the helpers to haul that thing upstairs.....after the top of the bookcase had dried..

Brought up the two drawers, and added the wire baskets to the main drawer..

Then we assembled thing back together....

I had just two of the folding baskets on hand....slid those into place.

And nothing wants to tip over. Can be closed up, and latched..

With just that little hook & eye.

I would have preferred a door, but, she wanted baskets.   So, I sized things to hold a pair on each shelf.   She picked out  the pattern, not me.

Might put this into the Gallery,   and see how it looks.   IF she wants it to shine, I could add the Poly Gloss to it...right now there are about three coats of shellac.    Screws to install the top are in the skinny drawer, when it gets to it's new home, I can add those.

Pulling for you and prayers for diagnosis' and solutions.

The cabinet turned out spectacular.

Kind'a like you, I would have preferred a lower door too, but after seeing it with the baskets, it's grown on me.

Hope the trip to the Dr. goes very well.

Man O Man...hope one or all of your appointments yield some beneficial results.

Has anyone told you anything more about the spot found in your brain?

Your latest step back is a beautiful piece. Like Dave said, those baskets kinda grow on ya. Even the designs. She should be very happy.

Find out about the spot tomorrow afternoon....

Second two baskets have arrived....solid gray ones.    Up to her how to arrange the four.

Find out Monday about what was found in the Thyroid results...

Daughter showed up a bit ago.    LOVED the Cabinet...LOVED the finish, loved the baskets......Vetoed  any thoughts about paint, said the finish will match the rest of the room's colours.   I think it might just be a hit.......

Set one gray and one black basket on each shelf,  alternating which is where ( left or right) on the shelves.
