Everything Else-

Getting back to the vessel of illusion project for attempt number 3.

This is first attempt. There was a collar at the top with a small opening. Unfortunately the idiot doing the turning did one more cut and the collar separated. Now it's a vase.

 

 

The second attempt in somewhere at the bottom of the trash can-

 

The third one is on the lathe awaiting the finish. I have no artistic talent. The opening is very plain. I hope at least to be able to finish the vessel with the inner filler.

Thanks for the post and mention Lew. I watched Sanding Tip and at the end when all the videos come up they push there is one in the bottom row middle Woodturning Crazy a very interesting project but not one I would try.

Lew that vase (first photo) looks really nice, I think it's pretty cool. I can't see the one in the bottom of the trash can, but the form on the lathe looks great as well. Nicely done!

Persistence is paying off Lew; mistake or not that is one beautiful vase. If it's any consolation, I've made plenty of trash can projects and I don't have a lathe.😜
