Everything Else-

Rick Turns YouTube video list from last week-

Been playing with a piece of cherry from the summer. Rough turned, soaked in soap/water, stored in bag of shavings. Things were going pretty good, in spite of a couple of loose knots and a little tear out. Then I got to the bottom. The through knot splintered and there was a very punky area from a rotting limb.

Filled the voids with sanding dust and fine shavings. Used Medium Thick StarBond CA. Still setting up. Probably use sanding to bring everything flat. I'm afraid tools may chip out the filler.

Safe turning and stay well

another nicely put together post lew.

Another informative posts to keep up with our own turners and the attached videos are great.  I normally watch Charles Brock and Mike Peace when they post a new one.  Thank you, Lew.

Some good stuff, have to look at EWT and see what I can add to my collection with the sale running.

Lew I guess we had a bigger week than I thought. Nice Job. Looks like you made a good save on the bowl. What texturing tool did you use, Wagner?

Edited by Gerald

Very nice Lew.  Thanks.

Great job on the bowl Lew.  That textured band really sets it off.

@AndrewB Thank You!

@FlGatorwood Thanks! I'll have to checkout Charles Brock.

@Gunny Thank You!

@Gerald Thanks! I made a small texturing tools from a video posted by Mike Peace-

I also have the Sorby spiral and texturing tool. It's the full sized version. The area I wanted to texture was pretty small so I went with the shop made version.

@HandyDanThank You!

@Cal Thanks! I hoped the burned rings would tie into the dark inclusions.
