Computer Desk Project

Your monitor might have built in mounting holes on the back.  If so you can build shorter stand that will fix the height issue.  Did this for a TV for a friend recently.  Was not a pretty or finished project, he lacks the patience needed to wait 3 days to make one proper.  Never mind his $$ issues.

was unable to sit the monitor on it's shelf..by 3/4" …...Now how did that happen...:WonderScratch:

:Tapping:...:ChinScratch:....No Problemo!!!

Just use one of the aftermarket clamp on monitor stands made for desks.

You'll probably find one on one of your scavenging adventures.

Simple solution raise the hutch by 3/4 with blocks.  But looking i think the problem may be the width?

Might be time for a new monitor?  Or make a new stand from some plywood.  I did that for a tv that had lost it's stand after being hung on a wall...

But the overall project looks great!

:ChinScratch:...That's what I did, and ended up with it not fitting the first edition desk by 3/4".

@steven newman Some of the bases can be removed from the stand, leaving the upright arm assembly that might be able to be bolted to your bottom hutch shelf.

But it looks sooooo good.....:)    But, I didn't see the sunglasses!

Not my favorite tune from that little ol' band - but I do like their music...
