  1. I had a bad oops yesterday. I was redoing a part of my turning station and dropped a MAxi-Cut bit in a Jacobs chuck with MT. I have sent the company a note to see if there is recourse today. Now I am looking at solutions so I can use the bit. The stem (elliptical 3/8) all broke off , leaving a 5/8 shaft. I am thinking I can use the bit if I can find a forstner bit extension with a 5/8 female. Only need this to be 3 to 6 inch. I have looked every where I can think of and cannot find a extension . Any ideas or places to look are appreciated .
  2. I have been working on a cross for my grandson's confirmation. I've cut and glued up some Yellow Hart and Purple Hart. Did some sanding and then to the table router, small table top from Sears. Set it up and started to adjust the height. Something fell out of the adjustment and it all came apart. It is old, but i liked it. I found a spring and during reassemble, I lost the spring, e ring and a gear. I know not where. I give up. I am thinking about a Porter Cable replacement, I don't want any more Sears tools. And so it goes.
  3. So I have this reclining loveseat in the man cave basement and one of the cable releases broke; in a way I can't repair it. So I need a replacement and have had zero luck in finding any. Anyone know where I can get one? Little background, this is a double recliner and the release that broke was the right side (where I usually sit). My temporary solution was to move the left side over and that worked (not very well) but I'm wanting to get a new cable so both sides can work again. It's 32" long across the housing, and you can see the damaged end, the business end, and the overall cable in the photos. It does have some not-real-clear markings that look like 0 5(or 6) 9 8 gK23 T. Any ideas?
  4. From the album: Bowls

Yep you guessed it it hit the wall doing about 560 RPM. I was NOT pleased Being the wood turner i am though, i got over it and tried turning that edge off, and wouldn't you know, it again hit the wall and broke again so i trashed it.
