Finally getting caught up on my reading. Your detailed top notch work amazes me Mike. Hope your weather holds for more progress updates. It's been way too wet, damp, foggy and cool to do outside work here this week.

Thanks, Gramps.

It's pretty wet here as well. And the nights are getting colder.  And the leaves are falling like a swarm locusts, lol. I spend most of my time trying to keep us from being buried in them, lol

If I can find the time to get the instrument fretted I can do all that there is left to do inside and out of the weather, but I really want that solid bench when hammering those frets in.

Thanks for looking!

I hammered the frets in last week.

This afternoon I joined the neck and the body. Getting close enough to make me breathe heavy now.

Watched your latest YouTube performance CJJ a couple days ago Mike. Nice and AMEN!

Guitar sounds like it has mellowed a little; nice, clear, sharp tone.

Anyways, watching you play and looking at the guitar made me realize there's no "signature" on the neck nor do I recall you signing, dating and placing a label inside the body. If you have haven't already, I would encourage you to consider doing such. This instrument deserves a legacy of its creation.

Thanks, Gramps.

It is a cedar top, which is usually more of mellow and quiet sounding instrument. To my ears this guitar is a cannon, lol.

It's very responsive to touch, finger or pick. Decidedly NOT typical cedar sound. It's bright and articulate. Might have something to do with the maple back and sides, but I think probably a lot to do with the actually quality of the wood it is built from, as well that it is seasoned beautifully.

As for a label or logo, I don't really have the ability to do that just yet.

But the underside of the top has my signature, the date completed, etc.

No one but a repairman will ever see that, but it is there.

Thanks for watching my videos!
