I would agree with that.  Compared to most of the other forums i visit, this one is awkward.  The content and the people are fine.

Hey all, if you guys could elaborate on what's awkward, that will me figure out a solution, we can change things to be less awkward, if you can outline the experiences in which areas that cause the disconnect or awkwardness, that would really me help, thanks all for your wonderful feedback!

Also, please tell us how you are viewing this community, desktop pc, tablet, mobile device etc. :)

Android phone and windows PC.

I don't take advantage of all the features available. Just read/respond to the forum posts. Consequently, it's not awkward for me.

I use an apple ipad.   I’m sure it’s a combination of 1- the host software and 2- me not using all the settings properly.

I’m happy as a clam at high tide.  Give me an occasional spammer to zap and I’m just peachy.  Ed, I also use an iPad but have had no issues.  Maybe because I’ve been here forever and it’s normal for me.

My (TPW) life just took a turn for the better!  Just a simple box to check, but a box I had been unaware of.  Thank you @John Morris for pointing it out for me.  @HandyDan, I think I am all good here.

I am on a Mac computer with Firefox.  Like Gene and Ron, the site is quite comfortable for me.  We do need the @Woodman and @Ed-H to come on with those suggestions, we would like more of those folks who drop in to come back!

What's going on over at Lumber Jocks?

Every forum has a gang that sticks together. No matter what. When I was on Woodnet  in early to mid 2000. Dave Arbuckle and toolfool always ganged together. No argument without without Batman and Robin..Sawmillcreek as soon as they find out you’re a professional they tag team you. There are three at Woodworkingtalk that are the same way…

woodnthings made it very clear he doesn’t think professionals should be on woodworking forums. JohnnG on Woodtalk expressed his concern ..

Great idea.  Then everyone who has tiktok experience can tutor the truly needy.

As long as the pros, or anyone else, doesn’t insult other posters, everyone should be welcome.

I’m convinced i know everything about anything … but i won’t give electrical advice, or fishing, or brain surgery. 😜

Opinions are opinions and facts are facts.

I was trained before the internet. There are a lot of woodworkers that use Youtube as their training and share it as if it’s personal knowledge. I could read and watch videos on the moon and discuss it, but I actually haven’t been there..

I don't see those same problems here. Gangs etc. Unless I'm blind to it.

Like I said, keep it simple.

The reason I don’t log back in over there…

Dang, talk about contentious! I can make an immediate comparison to our folks over here, let's say folks did disagree with jwoodcraft, here, non of our folks would be so contentious, they would politely state their case and not resort to heavily charged remarks with tons of inferences about experience or lacking thereof, I am completely thankful for our mature audience here, thank you all!

Buttons popping right now!

Thanks Billy for some enlightenment. I don't get out often, doesn't look like I'm missing anything.

Kinda like “ Black Friday” they can’t step over each other fast enough to make the next rude post…lol

I had to step back from Woodworkingtalk for a month because every post I made was being analyzed by several looking for something negative to say..

I apologize for ranting…

Normal? That’s a word I don’t get to use too often.
