:ChinScratch: So is anybody able to move today? :WhoMe:I done :Eat:too much. <_<

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" we'll be skipping the "Black Friday" sales.

Can't handle this 15° WC 6° forecast high of "Might" make it to freezing heat wave. :Hot:

Sure am glad we got the boiler pipes next door done Wednesday, don't think I could do a military crawl through the "Time Tunnel" today. <_<

So, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Hmm, weekend duty...

It is cold & windy today.  I will get a coat of finish on the entertainment center a bit later.  Likely leave the garage door shut while that's going on.

Wife gets her booster shot right after lunch today, we'll see how she does after that.

Tomorrow is out in state rivalry game, UGA vs Ga Tech.  I have to watch, but I will be checking in on the OSU game at the same time.

If the wife is up to it today, we may take a drive up to Macon and look for a new sofa.  Been talking about it for awhile now.  I've been looking online at all the furniture stores near us.  Gosh there is a lot of ugly, make that UGLY, furniture and sofas out there!  A sofa and recliner she says.  Some of these recliners take up the space, width, of a small couch.  Arms about two feet wide, console covers that hinge up, hinge out, have cup holders, and layers upon layers of extra padding?  I told her I just want to sit down and watch tv, I don't want to feel like I am at the wheel of a big motorhome! :PullingHair:

Hopefully tomorrow will be a good shop day. Got a few more tweaks to make but, Frankie is almost ready to make sawdust. There are a few interesting aspects to that tweaking process that I'll post on the "Saga" thread, tomorrow. As, Bandit says, stay tuned, film at 11.:cowboy:

Stopped by Lowes to look at doorbell cams, Marie been wanting one and our daughter has been hounding me to get one as well. I did pick up a 6" Werner step ladder that has a paint shelf, those aren't all that common anymore. It will replace a 50+ year old wooden 6 footer I bought new and has served me well; but it is getting a little rickety. But mostly today will be a day of rest after the last 2.

Nice! You come up with some really ingenious solutions for shop organization. I've stolen a few. :TwoThumbsUp:God knows I needed them!

This Elf will be in the shop.  Too cold outside.  Black Friday sales can wait until Monday.

Slowly getting back to "normal" here. Mimi's knew knee is improving. Maybe some shop time.

@Cal, we did the furniture thing a year or so ago. Very disappointed in the quality of "top of the line" manufactures.

@Fred W. Hargis Jr We put in a Google Hello doorbell a couple of years ago. Works pretty good although their price of stored video went up considerably this past year. Also, I wish it interfaced with the iPhone a little better. Had to jump thru hoops to get a unique notification alert sound.

Nice charging station, @Gunny

Youngest granddaughter had to do swim workout early this AM. Worked out at the HS with a couple of her last year teammates as well as the HS team. I didn't get up to see her off. She has workout same time tomorrow. I don't plan to get up then either.

Headed out in a bit to daughter's for leftovers and 1st meeting of the oldest granddaughters boy who is not my boyfriend friend aka not a boyfriend just good friends whose status apparently was upgraded to now,  boyfriend as of Tuesday just before leaving campus. While this may seem a bit confusing to you, reread it 10 times backwards.

I'm wearing a new flannel shirt for the occasion. Still trying to decide if I should show him my new Lifetime, Concealed Carry License or wait til Christmas. Any input on this matter?

Not much else going on. 26° Outside so garage temperature is probably 10° with all that steel radiating cold.

That reminds me, I have to renew my permit in a couple of months, now that the PA governor vetoed the constitutional carry bill passed by both the house and senate.

You could just "coincidentally" be cleaning a handgun whenever he makes an appearance.  Perhaps a different one each time so he can see  your collection.

That dreaded furniture shopping safari turned out OK, after all. Phyl had 5 stores picked to shop in. She found what she wanted in the first one we visited. She liked the style and color of the love seat so much that she Also bought the matching recliner.  We have a beautiful older leather Bassett arm chair and ottoman. The new pieces match it in style, right down to the brass studs on the arm fronts and around the ottoman's perimeter. The feet are almost a perfect match, too. And, Their free delivery happens this Sunday. That's right! Delivery on a Sunday.

To top off the shopping day, and, because we didn't get enough hamburger for Thanksgiving, we stopped at Subway and got meatball subs. All in all, not a bad day.

Indiana State Legislation passed a bill which went to effect July 1 eliminating both the State License Fee and the background fee (conducted at the local level). Only fee was finger prints administered by a third party.

:Laughing: We must be related Jim. Turns out my daughter's fiancée (a county jail officer) and his buddy were going deer hunting this afternoon. They had rifles leaning in the corner already since they planned to head to the woods/tree stands immediately after we ate. Once the meal was over, daughters fiancée brought out his hunting knife and service revolver (9mm Glock) and laid both in boyfriends view.

Didn't seem to phase him. After much interrogation turns out he just had received his carry license and hunts deer also. Afternoon wasted.:P

Although after later talks, he mentioned he planned to look at a revolver at Rural King...turns out he did when they got back to his home town.

You think we said something wrong?:WonderScratch:

Have spent all week trying to find out WHY I was getting those BP spikes.....turns out, I was taking the wrong pill, and skipping the correct one....took a trip to the ER to find out....got yelled at, when I got back home....all pills are now sorted out for WHEN they are to be taken....no shop time today...tomorrow? We'll see...

There was a Walnut Frame & Panel box I made a few years ago, was stashed behind the computer....dug it out, cleaned it up, checked inside...small box in there...just about the right size for a Gift Card....Hmmm.....be one less box in my house.   Grandson's Fiancee is whom I have on the Christmas Exchange....Gift Card into the little box, little box into the Walnut  Box...back-filled with a lot of bows....and maybe one on the lid...(then tell her it took 3 years to build?)

Gunny, awesome charging station.  I will confess, I am going to steal the idea.  Send the cops.  :D  Hope mom can reach the top one.

When the boy comes to the house, have at least one gun out.  He'll get the hint.

Weekend agenda, complete lid for the box and make the cross hatch for inside.  Get the felt glued in.  Then start on some turnings for a cousin who requested last year that I make her some things.  Plenty of pecan and cherry.  So, will start a couple of ornaments, one from mahogany.  Need to connect the Christmas lights and get the tree purchased and set up.  Ambitious schedule, but hope to have it all done so I can spend more time on the next wood project.  Glad I have our pipes wrapped in new insulation.  Going to get to 38 tonight, not freezing but in case it gets colder, I don't have to work in the cold.  Need to get a cover to clementine tree.  I purchased a small one but I need a larger one.

Thankful it was nothing more complicated or serious.

We're going to our son's for a midday meal that us old farm raised folks still call dinner:D. Phyl built her famous and, delicious, from scratch, lemon pie and her equally famous and, delicious Ghirardelli chocolate pie. We'll take those and, bring the remains back home for dessert after our supper! So, no shop time, today. Hit it hard tomorrow, though.
