Off to HF to get 6 of these 18 compartment storage trays.  Need all the same size for next build.  Be nice to have them in my hand and not hope the size listed is correct ya know?  That will bring to an end of the saga of "Neighbor Gave Me 22 bins of hardware, screws, nuts, and bolts".  I was able to absorb about 80% of all that, BUT the remaining 20% did push the limits of available space.

Work continues on 20 caulk tube holder.  It is currently under a forest of clamps from last night's work.

  • Visited mother yesterday. All is well. Installed cordless charging station for her.  Should keep all the batteries charged and in one location.

  • Hmm, weekend duty... It is cold & windy today.  I will get a coat of finish on the entertainment center a bit later.  Likely leave the garage door shut while that's going on. Wife gets h

  • I've been committed to, at least, one full day of furniture shopping for some sort of a love seat. Not because it's Black Friday, although that helps.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a good shop day.

After inspection of that blanket chest, it seems that three legs are wonky. Phyl bought it from her sister before she moved to CA. Her BIL and, likely her sister, had attempted some repairs without removing the legs. Just threw in some screws willy nilly. Some driven  from inside, through the bottom. Most angled in, at all angles,  through the legs.  I've removed about 20 screws of all descriptions and lengths. Some square drives, some commons and a passel of cammed out dry wall screws. Looks like hide glue and decent steel #14 screws were used, originally. Another couple hours and it should be good to go, With close to original screws and, TiteBond III.

Had to take time out to help Phyl rearrange furniture after the new love seat and recliner were delivered.

My shop time will have to wait till tomorrow.

"Bunny" the Belgian Mali is a no go.  Just not a good fit for Mrs. Boss and I.  Aggressive behavior and un-responsive to commands.  Struck me as the "will eat the house" type.

Mrs. Boss will keep shopping.

Sorry it didn't work out but best to find out sooner than later.

If you have some acreage you might consider an Australian Shepherd. Extremely high energy; requires "something" to do or they can get creative finding a task, BUT extremely loyal, trainable, smart, and quite protective of their "family". We prefer spayed females vs males. An extremely close cousin is the Border Collie; similar traits. We've had both but our current is an Aussie. Just my $.02.

02:45...couldn't sleep...again. Probably the joyful anticipation of getting back to the shop.

Those blanket chest legs have been repaired and reinstalled. I now have a renewed respect for Keith!!!  What took me about five hours, he'd have done in one. But, he wouldn't have had to trek back and forth to his shop for tools. Or, stop for an NFL break between trips. Good thing the Cardinals had a bye. I'd not be finished yet! :P

Can't help with canine breed considerations. All ours have been Mixed breeds, pound or, found.
