This is kind of a neat way to embellish a turning. I've seen pictures of it but didn't know the correct term for the process. The video is a little long but packed with ideas-

 

 

 

New Turning Items-

Well, it would be new to you, if you build one. Another way to make a Burr Tool. This one with actual bearings. I think I'd add a ball magnet to hold the hold the burr bit from falling out.

Lew, what is happening on the funeral front? What did I miss?

And yes, thanks for the Christmas Family notification! I am going to spend 2000.00 on the family gifts before the raffle ends, this means I will front the funds, and I have confidence in our folks here and out of our community, that the funds will materialize!

If the funds don't completely materialize, it is what it is. But I thought if I gave it till the end of the year, there would plenty of time to gather it all up.

Having had to work Wednesday, my normal day off, I also seem to be off kilter for the week.  Boss went on vacation. Then got stuck in Cancun. Won't be back till Monday. Maybe.  Hope so would like a paycheck.

@Lew, funerals happen.  Talking to my last uncle the other day and he said that all his friends have now departed.  Sad, really.  

 

But, all these videos.  These are awesome and I will take some time this weekend, to watch the remainder that I did not see.  I have 1/2 of my rolling pins turned.  Pear shavings all over the driveway.  Going to decorate the flower gardens.  Honey bees come by while I am turning.  There must be a smell.  LOL  Thanks for the awesome post.
