Ok...glue has dried, clamps came off, bolts found..handles installed...top of the Chester Drawers has been cleared off....whew..:JawDrop:

Coat of stain is now on the Chester Drawers....waiting on that to dry....whether to add a second coat, or..go ahead with the Poly Gloss.....film at 2300 hrs...:ph34r:

Just good,old, knotty Pine....problems began on the right side's plywood panels..:BangingHead:

No, I did not "miss" these, everything got the same amount of stain..:ChinScratch:..well, except for the drawer sides...

Just the dovetails got stained.B)...so....:WonderScratch:

may wait awhile, then go back and add a second coat the the panels that turned into sponges?  let the first coat dry, and add the second..:ChinScratch:.

 

plywood is 5mm Luann plywood...with the "good" side out...Hmmmm..:ph34r:

That's odd. Assume from the same sheet? Warm those panels lightly with a hair dryer to make sure dry before applying more.

For #3 lumber came out very nice. I really like the end panels.

Just came back from the shop....added a second coat to the panels, and to the top of the case...will recheck in a little bit....then again in the morning...

OK, been at this most of the day...thanks to a few drying times....down to one panel still soaking up colour....think I finally slow it down:ChinScratch:

Second one down..  2x4 had a few knots...hard to stain them....this side had three panels that weren't playing nice..:ArguingSmileys:

Will take the place of a small, 4 drawer 30 yr old chester drawers...handles are shot...has more stuff on top of it, than inside...and the drawers are full...will be going in our bedroom, when dry..

Really a nice looking piece Steven.  Thanks for sharing the build with us.
