Short shop times, again.   Can't just sit around, have to do a little something, to divert the mind.   Drag the old router table back out:JawDrop:

157265167_routertable.jpg.f7f61532c1676f86075aa2507c6a8677.jpg

Set up my do-everything Fence/Guide.   Router needs two wrenches, to change bits, took a bit of digging around...:ph34r:402514786_routerwrenches.jpg.047ea6601a6e43647049cd83a611c0b9.jpg

Fat wrenches, have to lower the router almost all the way down...

1766154045_routerlowered.jpg.eefdf56d2db3537d7ee420ca433c2970.jpg

When was the last time B&D made all metal routers?  All this just to run 4 cuts..:o

260177524_first2.jpg.c50d99b4e2919891ae50c3cb97c94c5f.jpg

Pencil grooves.   And the other pair..

Then lower the router back down, remove the bit, and put the table away...

Next item?   One side needed a couple holes chopped....no safe way to use the router...sooo

sawn.jpg.4724ca288b540293cad90748985a3465.jpg

Handsaw a bit, chisel a while...B)

Clean it out...test for fit

This thin board will go behind those pencil holders.   Decided to chop out for the drawer "runner"

Dry fit.   Does not need to go all the way to the back,  just a place for the drawers to slide on.  Top of the case keeps them from tipping.  Used a bunch of chisels...

Lew's Mallet is on Vacation....what a mess..

may try later, to get the other side chopped...stay tuned:cowboy:

You really think pencils will stay there? Better set-up 24/7 surveillance to keep them there.

Mine take off while I'm holding them...usually take the tape measure or combo square hostage

Maybe you can chain them down like the bank does

Same problem.  I have a few cats as suspects but so far none has confessed.

As soon as I can clear off a spot...

866430619_messybench.jpg.4f7e8c1873dcabeb9fcff0b6387568aa.jpg

:JawDrop:Might take a few minutes.   Need a small brush, to dab the glue into a bunch of nooks and crannies

Cussing levels are sure to rise :ArguingSmileys: Need to get all of these things over to the bench...

1772529626_dryfitted1.jpg.483f92ff08b4fdfc3a9fc4cea407f977.jpg

New poplar boards have replaced the less then perfect Ash ones..may need to trim them a slight bit...

1054621255_clampingtest.jpg.62e27ee15a26d3d9191ed9f3357a4fb5.jpg

May need a few cauls...soooo, IF you see a blue streak coming from my shop...:BangingHead::DevilLaughing:  be sure to where ear plugs...going to be LOUD:BugEyeSmiley:

Will head that way in a little bit...you been warned:CoveringEyes:

Stay tuned, will return with the results later...I hope...

Tis done...scene of the crime?:o

216942704_pileofclamps.jpg.9f69bb3de826e6eab68135080a7d1961.jpg

And I used almost all of these...and, IF a hammer doesn't..we get a bigger hammer..:ChinScratch:

401550384_bottomview.jpg.74bbb6f530b6ecdd5ede9c8d7b695435.jpg

Pencil holders glued in...cauls on the pipe clamps, missing the pins.   Needed pressure on the tails..

cauls.jpg.8e7609f4a32818353f4052406f7fe47b.jpg

I trimmed the drawer shelf a bit....still wasn't quite enough :BangingHead: Will correct with a couple dividers to keep the shelf flat..

74657715_bowedshelf.jpg.3ef1e3afbb53a3e258eb1c8885a7764b.jpg

Once I get the top of the desk in place, I can add the dividers between the shelf and the top....glue & screws.

I checked the corners for square...got lucky, this time...all square:TwoThumbsUp:

Let this mess sit until tomorrow....have a few other items to do....stay tuned :cowboy:
