Gene, unfortunately it is not viewable by our members. I'll see if I can download a list of what we have so far and share it here. Report

Chips, no dictionary, the acronyms have to be hand entered into our database of acronyms along with the definition, and unfortunately that area is not accessible to our highly valued members. Report

Sometimes I think woodworkers take this even farther. Example- "Tried the BS to make DT but needed the ROS to trim the WP material. Needed to cleanup the WB of spilled BLO" Why do we need to write in "code" and we're not sending text messages or Tweets! Here's how ridiculous it has become (and this is just one list)- http://www.hobbithouseinc.com/personal/woodpics/_acronyms.htm You have a great point Lew, that is why for the most part we'll stick to the technical acronyms that are used industry wide just so anyone who is not familiar with the trades, industry and the arts in woodworking, will be able to learn. That link you shared actually has some great acronyms that I would like to include in the data base that I think are very important such as 1C --- No. 1 Common, 2C --- No. 2A Common, 3AC --- No. 2B Common, 3BC --- No. 3A Common. And as well D1S --- Dressed 1 Side, D2S --- Dressed 2 Sides, D2S&CM --- Dressed 2 Sides and Center Matched, D2S&SM --- Dressed 2 Sides and Standard Matched, D3S --- Dressed 3 Sides, D4S --- Dressed 4 Sides I think those are some really good ones. You'll find we have added a few fun ones such as the one we did for Stick (SNORK) it sounds funny and I thought it would be fun to add. And I also installed some general terms we all use such as IMHO, LOML, but, for the most part they are purely technical for our users who are just starting out, or the passerby who may not be familiar with our industry.
