I use my marking gauge to mark cut line for the other edge. My kingdom for a panel gauge. Ain't got time to stop and make one. I marked the board as wide as I could and get it parrallel, so all I

And, except for finish this build is complete.

I am waiting on the lacquer to dry. When that does and I get to rub it out I will post a separate thread along with a video link to show how everything turned out, and what went in it.

I have a Japanese Dozuki fret saw. It's a crosscut. I will most likely put a rip dozuki in the chest as well. Unless I am forgetting something those two saws and a fine cut detail saw should be all the saws I need. I will do that when funds allow. I was going to put a Ryoba in it, but I don't think i need it. If I find differently I'll pick up a small 7" one.

Also, as soon as I can swing it a No. 5. The goal is to have basically all or most of the tools needed to build acoustic guitars in this chest.

Thanks everyone for looking and following.

In the next few weeks I'll be starting another acoustic guitar build: I need to build a few jigs first. And pick up the aforementioned saw. I'll of course be posting that here as well, but it is liable to stop when cold weather hits until Spring pops.

Thanks for letting us follow along just goes to show that something as simple as a tool chest can be made right and be fine woodworking. also shows that you're never too old to learn something, where to set a chisel to start a cut, guess you can teach an old dog a new trick😁.

Thanks, and thanks for coming along.

That is a classic tool box and looking forward to the finishing, well done.
