Our Patriot Turners-

Last week, @RustyFN mentioned he reground his new 3/4" bowl gouge to make if more efficient. Rusty posted an update with a picture of the tip.

And he  showed us just how great the new grind works!

There were lots of comments and guesses as to what the wood might be, in his post

@FrederickH askes a question concerning burls, Rick scored several red oak burls and he was curious about the possibilities of turning them. Maybe you can give him suggestions from your own experiences.

Expand Your Horizons-

While searching the "Interweb" for this week's post, I ended up following Alice down the rabbit hole. It all started with a post on the AAW about what computer programs do folks use for designing their projects.

Aside from Sketchup, Woodturner Pro, Segmented Project Planner, adobe and others I ran across this one-

And then further, past the empty orange marmalade jar, realizing that many turners have 3D printers, you get these ideas for woodturning associated items-
