Popular Post Gerald Posted September 5 Author Popular Post Report Posted September 5 Been a busy week. AC installed on house. Outlets and switches in process. Subway tile completed for kitchen. She picked exterior colors finally. Plumbing installs have begun with kitchen faucet. shop move in day was yesterday with 4 friends to help. Still more to move but that got the real heavies. Today planned to haul even more but got sidetracked after a little organizing. Then there is that water problem I need to deal with. Heavy rain night before last got a little water in shop. So more dirt work. Dug out more dirt at door to divert that problem. Great news is they installed light pole and connected shop. Now waiting for representative to bring out the meter. By the way….you guessed it I am pooped. Al B, lew, HARO50 and 7 others 7 1 2 Quote

Popular Post Gerald Posted September 6 Author Popular Post Report Posted September 6 Things are moving fast in house. Plumbing fixtures in today. Fans up o porch and lights in. Air conditioners and thermostats as well as water heater. Now look at this drain setup for AC and tell me have ever seen anything more counter intelligent? Yes they are way above the floor. This will not stand. How did they expect a serviceman to get to the units. Headhunter, Gunny, lew and 5 others 3 1 4 Quote
Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted September 6 Popular Post Report Posted September 6 Agree, not sure what they were thinking on the drain lines. Apparently that's all the pipe they had on the truck. Love that porch. Gonna be many a relaxing evening and even some mornings enjoying the view. HARO50, Gunny, lew and 2 others 4 1 Quote

How did they expect a serviceman to get to the units. I've heard the warmer climates have mold build up in the drain lines and cause damage when they clog up. The steeper angles may help displace the water quicker and more thoroughly helping alleviate the problem. Gunny, Gerald, Al B and 5 others 8 Quote

I have a condensate pump, throw couple cleaning pills in each year and problem went away. HandyDan, Grandpadave52, lew and 5 others 8 Quote
Popular Post Gerald Posted September 10 Author Popular Post Report Posted September 10 Been a busy week and am a bit behind on posting. Lots going on and I am worn to a nub getting shop moved and setting up some. Last night I spent the evening til 9 loading trailer with shop stuff so I could work on new one this morning while the old driveway was repaired. Light fixtures and fans are in. hearth is done and bricked edges of porch. They are painting and staining today plus installing soffits and outside trim. Trailer has broken hanger bracket which I patched with a bolt temporarily. That 16 foot of stuff plus the truck makes for a fast move but slows setup. Had to just leave the trailer loaded with turning wood as I am at an appointment. these pictures a are from yesterday. Finally the electrician fixed the light switches he did not do right. Now just need to hang more lights. AC goes in tomorrow. HARO50, HandyDan, JimM and 7 others 6 1 3 Quote

Popular Post Gerald Posted September 14 Author Popular Post Report Posted September 14 (edited) Working on organizing Ranch Shop. Loading turning wood on shelves to get all that off the floor and unload the trailer so I can load it again. My oldest helped me get the air cleaners off the ceiling last night and hope to use the tractor to mount them at Ranch. Did some dirt moving to build a new long range berm so we don't have to shoot beside the house. Just about time to switch over to packing and fixing house for move and sale. Yesterday the dozed the area around the house. I moved excess bricks as well as most of the pushed out dirt. Finally got seed on back slope of shop. looks better with the cleanup. you can’t see it good but the location of the AC means my plans for lathe location changed and will move in about 8 feet farther into the shop. Got a little cabinet work done bit no pic today. Edited September 14 by Gerald HandyDan, Grandpadave52, aaronc and 4 others 4 3 Quote

Still bandsaw, drill press, vice barrel, and dust collector to get out of attic. Gunny, aaronc, Fred W. Hargis Jr and 2 others 4 1 Quote
