Agree with Dave, wonderful place. It has to be tough waiting for things to progress.

You better get cracking on the wood pile Gerald. They're gonna have the house enclosed before you get done.;)

It always amazes me how fast a skilled framing crew can get a frame up.

Looks like you're making great progress.

Today’s pic. They got rafters in on first floor and framed porch and garage beams. Most of the woodpile was leveled out somewhat today forgot pic for that.

A bit of a disappointment on the shop. Needs a bit more dirt than expected. Change in slope for original site was almost 4 feet. Do moved it back a bit and hope to get that down to maybe 2 feet.

I suspect you're busier than a one armed paper hanger right now Gerald, but I really appreciate and look forward to your daily updates. Thank-you!

Great progress again today. Heck of a framing crew you have.

Cool to see you still have 84 Lumber in your part of the country. When we built our house many, many years ago, all of our framing material, trusses, windows, siding etc came from 84. They carried the best lumber and truss service by far back then. Carter Lumber was also a go to at that time as well as Furrow. Sadly all three disappeared locally when HD, Lowes and Menards moved in.

No work today except me. Finished cutting firewood out of pile and pushed the remainder down to area beside fire pit. Still need to clean up remaining sticks. IMG_0754.thumb.jpeg.f5f802f686997be897e9f39e1659a5f7.jpeg

That big pile is gone. Will get that large log and the huge one uphill later.

Back in action for a part of the day. The crew was working today and made progress towards a roof til the thunderstorm rolled in about 2:30.

meanwhile I was picking up the last sticks from the pile. Finished up on that and had a big root and a small stump from a sweet gum to dig out so the hill could be smoothed out. Well got the root out but that stump is another story.
