@Gerald...just thinking (well typing) out loud. Looking close at your shop picture, while the ceiling is still exposed and easy to route wiring, any considerations for outlet boxes and supports to possibly hang a couple ceiling fans? Might help in that Mississippi mud humidity circulating air from the mini-split. Just a random thought on my part.

Hve not really thought about that but that ceiling will remain exposed.

I'd put outlets in ceiling and make your lights plug into them. Makes replacement or moving/ adding easier task.

Give Gunny's suggestion some careful thought, it's really a great way to do lighting. The current LED fixtures are very light (in weight) and can be "daisy chained" so he method allows placement as needed and makes for super easy replacement.

Way ahead of yall. Put outlets in current shop over 20 years ago. And some are switched and some not.

Today’s results added more framing for windows so can finish trim after ply goes in.

Installed winged anchors in stud walls.

Installed blocking behind braces to allow filler installation after ply goes up. IMG_1004.thumb.jpeg.8f1bcd7af1e96bac465ec20b90747751.jpeg

Insulation contractor missed some spots so I started to fill but the canned stuff runs out quick. They finished the crown molding in house but did not get a pic.Electrician was supposed to put meter box in but he has a call for a commercial job.

More crazy’s the mini split I ordered is out of stock. My installer found same unit only 200 more local. And to “make” my day called power company and will be 4-6 weeks to install meter. I think that may be a COYA so if they do it faster seems like better service.

Today was one big interruption. Had to go pick up pipe for meter base and that killed over an hour. Got 4 sheets of ply cut and hung. It is amazing that you can measure three times and still be wrong. All the up and down ladder and taking a sheet down to make just a small trim really wears me out.

Great job Gerald. Really looking like a shop now. With those angled wall to truss supports, you've already potential support hangers for much of your DC main pipe runs. Just a thought.

Spent last two days painting shop. Use sprayers (4 different ones) on first coat , taking almost a day and half. Decided this was the pits so switched to brush for second coat. Four hours and better than half done. Will finish that tomorrow. Hopefully start full scale move in Wednesday or Thursday. Still no electricity but on the schedule. They will have to set a pole.IMG_1757.thumb.jpeg.0db4a2429b9583180d6d9080387114ec.jpeg

Will the shop have it's own meter. or be a sub off the house panel?

Doing it's own meter. Current shop is on house meter. This may cost more but contractor said would need larger panel on house. AND the line for house is still not connected, shop is not either but I think that is a closer probability. Power company engineer said would be on this past week . I called and they said the work order had been issued but did not know how many ahead.
