I recently discovered a YouTube channel "My Growth Rings" by Scott. Really about the only Shopsmith YouTube guru I knew of was Doug Reid. But he hasn't made a video in years I believe.

So while perusing the old YouTube I stumbled on Scott. Very active within the Shopsmith community, and his channel is updated very frequently.

I have heard many explanations on why Shopsmith saw blades have a 1 1/4" arbor, and they all seemed very suspicious to me, but this one that Scott gives, is based on undeniable fact, per the Patent for their arbor safety system. Enjoy!

Spent half the weekend, daylight hours, in the shop cutting the last of the sleds,13 total. All glued to the runners & ready for gifting. Patti was in the house decorating for the holiday. The bread board is on the counter & tomorrows shopping list is mostly baking supplies. Saturday, I made 8 quarts of the potato soup I was craving. The Sunday coffee club & to-go bowls consumed 7 quarts. Today's lunch, the last of the potato soup. Life is good!

Retrieved as ordered, the two requested Christmas trees from storage. Attended oldest grandson's 7th grade basketball games Saturday AM. They went 0-2 for the tournament. Late night Saturday watching TTUN play. Church yesterday, then youngest grandsons travel league basketball games; his team won both including avenging their only loss this season; lost to that team by 4 points previously; won by 21 yesterday. His team now on top of the league standings at 8-1. Oh yeah, remembered to give the Mrs. her birthday card and a couple gifts last night.:P

Domestic duties, a couple meetings at church, anticipate further orders to retrieve Christmas decorations, 1st round of 7th grade basketball conference tournament this week. Shop remains closed due to thermometer failure.

Thanks @John Morris for the mention . Had a good day Saturday at Jingle Bell but was off by 25% from last year. And I was really tired, maybe not getting any younger after all.

Today just could not get started on my to do list in shop. Got last couple decorations out in yard and now a little electrical rearranging.

Busy weekend, and my Saturday late afternoon (UGA vs Bama) was a bust.  Oh well, there's next year.  I hate it for FSU, Georgia loses so FSU doesn't get in the playoffs?

Monday AM was a Dr. visit and breakfast with a couple buddies.  Annual heart check up, went well.  I completed a couple picture frames over the weekend, and completed a couple more yesterday afternoon.  I will drop them off today for glass and mirrors.

Today it is another round of check ups.  ENT first to get the ears roto rooted, and then down the hall to have the hearing aids looked at.  Then a couple hundred other errands to run.  If I get back soon enough I have one more picture frame to make.

Balance of the week will be spent applying finish to pic frames, cleaning up the shop and computer time to get a design down for one of the mirrors and, potentially, some sandblasting.

I absolutely love this gate @DAB. Just something about it. :)

rusty iron gate

that's how it was when we moved here.  i've only painted and repaired the chili (rotting wood on top, faded paint), and the wreath was decorated by my wife, i just hung it up.

:ChinScratch: Survived the chili! :P
