May 16May 16 Lew ...simply beautiful. The joinery close up is AMAZING. looks like you mention using your chop saw to create the pattern cuts? You may be aware of the John Beaver method of cutting wave bowls ( if you have a band saw) might be of interest to you also. Some presenters of the John Beaver method are here . None the less doesn't matter how you make it as long as it good when you are done.... YOU RUNG THE BELL ON THESE
May 18May 18 A while back I said I would sho my hallowing setup so Top to bottom there is the restraint, bar holder, big boring bar, small bar, and two hand held scrapers and my swan neck tools. All but the last one were made by me. I almost enjoyed making them as much as turning wood, got to get some use out of old MOS training once in a while. Thanks for looking. Forgot little aluminum bar in first row is my cutter holder for sharpening cutters. Edited May 18May 18 by Rusty S Forgot

Tuesday at 10:58 PM2 days Popular Post Not without a few hiccups but it turned out better than I expected for an experiment. I saw a similar design in the AAW magazine that was included in the article from Alan Finn. My first thought was to make a shallow platter but was changed to a pedestal dish. The dish part is a little over 7" in diameter and the whole thing stands about 4.75" tall. Turned completely with EWT products and finished with Yorkshire Grit.chatoyance in the topFrom the opposite side
