This project is cabinets, electrical and some drywall. Her goal is to have me prefab all the cabinets and then start the demo to reduce the down time of the room. I glued up all the panels before I left for the weekend. Today was milling the first of the panels and begin the first one which is an upper. I included a picture of the room as it is.

The first of the uppers is finished. Tomorrow it’s on to the other two uppers.  Paul

The last carcass is done except for the backing. Now it’s on to the drawers. Looks like there will be about six drawers and eight pull out shelves. I’m definitely going to need more maple.  Paul

Another long day and drawers are almost done. Three more to go. I ordered the drawer slides today so I’m just about to start the demo of the room.  Paul

Probably never will 😃 we are trying to knock out the small projects before we get into the big ones. We bought this place knowing it would be a long project. It was completely trashed inside and out. It took about 8 weeks work just to make it habitable.

With all the carcasses done the last couple of days have been spent milling and gluing up the drawer stock. Tomorrow I will get started milling the blanks.

Yesterday was cutting it all to size and rabbeting all the ends. Today it’s cut the grooves for the bottoms and start assembling. For the first time in 40 years I didn’t cut the pieces with a sliding table on a table saw and instead used the new sliding miter saw. The Festool performed perfectly. So far very happy with that saw.

Today was more sanding drawers. Ughh. But almost done. I took some time today to do the Bill Murray on the shop today. It was past due.

Well today was the day to demo the laundry room. The boss said if I didn’t get it done today she was going to lose it. I did ask her what she was going to lose. Probably not the wisest move I have ever made. Her answer was “the keys to your shop”. Oh well. Got it demo’d today. Now for the electrical and drywall

One step closer. All the drywall removed and most of the framing done. Will definitely be done running electrical tomorrow. The drywall guy will hopefully be able to get his part done this weekend.

Lookin' good.

I guess in the town that never sleeps, your tradesmen don't recognize the weekends either.:D
