Friday again folks! 

 

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" for a change we're seeing a bright object in the sky today. 

 

  Wonder what it is?  

 

 Whatever it is we like it! 

 

 On second thought after looking around the yard.  

 It appears those 60+ MPH winds yesterday didn't do us any favors, left me about a 30' "Widow Maker" out back. 

 

 

So, as I figure out how I'm going to get that "Widow Maker"  untangled from the other trees.

I have an agreement with the IRS. I send them $$ and they leave me alone for a year. What a great protection racket they got going, eh? 

Today, we'll finish up a small job that has taken way too much time. Then, it's back to those Limbert tables. Which are also taking more time than I expected.  

Maybe, now that my wife's penchant for planting stuff has (temporarily) subsided, a full few weeks in the shop is in store. Now, if I can only bring my ADD under control.

 

So, how do you like spring so far? Working out good for me.

Will do a final application of mineral oil/beeswax later.

Great Job Lew!! 

A busy week. Birthday party, Elementary school 3rd-5th grade music program. Tomorrow, Church Men's monthly breakfast then a quick trip to pick up some on-line auction spoils. Easter services Sunday, then lunch with family at home followed by an egg hunt. Today,  I need to finish unloading truck from last auction pick-up. Hard tonneau bed covers makes one lazier.

Doing nothing else but camping this weekend. That's it!! 

Didn't make enough to file, again this year....Don't owe them, they don't owe me....works for me.

 

Will try to get a top coat on that table, later today?

 

2 garage sales this morning....not a single tool to be seen...BUMMER!

BEHOLD, my drink stand is finally finished. OK, a little (or lot) overdramatic...this thing was not a big deal, and actually doesn't deserve server space for the pic. But here's the back story: Marie had surgery on one of her fingers on here right hand. She sits on the right side of the couch, with a end table on here right where she sat her drinks (non-alcoholic, always). But wwith here right hand out of commission, she sat a TV tray in front of the couch on here left side to hold the glass. But it was a little in the way...especially for our little dog; so I made this thing to sit there instead. The top is only 10"by 12" so it takes up far less room. It only took me 2 weeks to make this, but what they hey...I got it done. It's all scraps, since I don't expect it to be needed all that long. Cherry because the scrap cherry pieces fit the dimensions better than some of the others. That's also why the legs are glue ups that don't really match that well (at the moment, wait a few weeks).

Beg to differ with you Fred. Great design and well executed. Appreciate you sharing. No doubt Marie is quite thankful and perhaps the dog too.

Remember even a bad day in the shop is far better than the best day at work.

Delivered and installed holders for mother's toolbox, specifically screwdriver drawer.

@Gunny May I ask where you got the screw driver holders? Them would be nice to have.

 Looks like that "Widow Maker's" going to have to wait. A bit to Windy, and way to wet back there.

It'll still be there when it dries up, I'm sure.
